Is anyone still undecided?

I am the Republican that will vote for Obama. If it was Biden running - there is no way I would vote for him....however he is the VP and me voting for Obama says a lot about how much I have no faith about what Romney would do for the country. Believe me - I have suffered first economically hand since Obama has been in office but I am smart enough to place the blame on him. A president cannot simply fix things in a 4 year term no matter what party you side with.

Yeah, even though it was REAGAN signing the earned income tax credit bill that helped prop the number up that high. God forbid our grandparents on medicare, college students on loans, people earning less than 20K, Iraq war veterans going to the V.A. get away without paying federal income taxes. So what if they also pay payroll taxes, sales tax (regressive), and different forms of local taxes. CORPORATE WELFARE ONLY!

You can dislike it but I answered honestly.

So now that you know that Republicans created the tax credits which caused the number to climb to 47%, your HONEST answer is to vote for another Republican. That's your answer, and you're sticking to it.

Romney pays no income tax.

Thought it was 13.9?

Someone figured out that that is cap gains tax. At the debates he said that if the proposal to cut cap gains taxes went through he would pay no taxes....

No way would I vote for a cult-figure community organizer with an over-reliance on celebrities and teleprompters. The better choice was McCain so you're damn right I voted for him.

Woo hoo! A Republican capable of nuanced thought. Welcome! As a Democrat, I think I am a lot like you. Even though I generally liked and supported Clinton's policies, I would have voted for McCain in 2008 over Gore had your party had the good judgment to nominate him then. The McCain of 2000 was a social and economic moderate and I liked him. Fast forward to 2008 and I cold barely recognize the man anymore. It's been nice to see glimmers of the 2000-era McCain return.

Okay. Then the point I was making that your original comment about Biden as well as your stupid comeback were juvenile and irrelevant is thusly proved. Thanks.

The proof of juvenile and irrelevant behavior is all yours. Have a great day.

I made the decision to vote in Nov. based on the fact I really, really want health care reform to have a chance to work. I have not seen or heard of a Republican proposal to fix health care in this country.

Romeny is out of touch with most of America. It is scary how out of touch. He does not seem to understand that you can be incredibly hard working and educated and still not be in the uber rich paradise he inhabits.

Romeny's refusal to release more of his tax records still irritates me to no end.

Please tell me you live in Virginia.

You just go on believing that. Just like a conservative cry-baby - you get called out for being inconsistent and then whine about it. Good grief.

But you're okay with Biden, who's just one step away?

I don't vote for the VP. And you people are one to talk after putting that airhead caribou Barbie up for #2. As a party you've forfeited the right to criticize.

PP, I have no idea if you made that up or copied it, but I'm using it. A lot. I can't wait, actually - some people will fall over laughing (like me), others will start frothing at the mouth. Either way, I win. Thank you so much.

Wow, the political equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I." You certainly make a compelling point.

I can not vote for Romney. I just can not vote for a party that will raise taxes on 47% of American.

I thought Caribou Barbie was pretty well known as a nickname for Palin? I know I've heard it before. Did Olbermann come up with it? No matter, it's damn funny.

Anonymous wrote:I am. I'm registered as a Dem but have voted Republican in the past. I'm socially liberal - pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, etc. I'm also for the death penalty, believe in a strong and active military, and think the government is too involved in people's day-to-day lives.

I'm frustrated with the lack of change and the excuses being made by team Obama, but some of Romney's comments disgust me (though my conservative husband claims they're taken out of context.)

Those undecided, how are you feeling?

I feel exactly the way you do. I guess it's a question of degrees of importance. I attach a high level of importance to pro-choice. I think that under the Dems we've had a strong and active military and I've been surprised at how well Obama (and Hillary) have done on international affairs. I agree that govt is too involved in our lives; I am most worried about Patriot Act type suspension of constitutional rights. Which I think will be bad whomever wins.

I think we've had a problem in this country for a long time now with the concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite. I don't think society can sustain that without, frankly, ending up with severe civil unrest. Which would undermine my nice cozy six figures and house in the burbs of FFX. It's in my best interest to make sure people don't starve because they are unemployed or disabled or too old to work. I think that the Romney committment to cutting taxes for the rich and cutting programs for everyone else will exacerbate this problem.

I feel that I don't really like either candidate but Obama is the lesser evil. "Kick the can down the road" re: Palestine and Israel indeed.

We need only to look at all the whining stories from last year's failed Occupy movement for a wide sampling of liberal cry-baby behavior.
