Woman here. "It didn't mean anything," is what men generally say when caught and I used to scoff and think, "How could something so intimate not mean anything"? Then one night I found out that sex really can just be something that means nothing. As Erica Jong would say, a "zipless fuck" and nothing more. Now, I have to say that this was a one-night stand and mainly out of curiosity and too much to drink but, as a woman, I think something long-term would mean something.

I have come to understand that a litttle dalliance is not the worst thing that can happen in a relationship, married or not.
