What is your favorite bakery for cupcakes?

I think Cakelove cakes are terrible though. They've been around the longest but are just awful.

Though I do nod to the Cakelove haters. Not a fan. There's a also a new cupcake shop in Adams Morgan. The owner is really friendly and I'm happy to see a new local business open, but their icing is so bad it upsets me. It's like flavored butter.

Careful. At first you think "flavored butter", and then you crave it insanely. I'm still gnawing for a raspberry buttercream I had at the Smiling Pelican in Maiden Rock, WI eight years ago...
