| I like Hello Cupcake in Dupont the best. |
| Something Sweet in Cleveland Park is good if you are in the neighborhood. |
| Buzz bakery. Also love beat buns |
| Out of the way but fantastic? Divinely Decadent Desserts in Brookland. And not 5 dollars a cupcake! |
NP here-- Of course they are a little overrated with that show and all, but I have had many of the cupcakes around here, and I think they are the best. I like how their cupcakes are normal sized and simple. The focus is more on taste than looks. |
| Crumbs. |
| Baked and Wired in DC, Buzz in VA. |
Agreed, that is our favorite. |

Funny you should ask OP. I was just on a quest over the holidays to find the best gluten free cupcakes for my friend. We did a taste test among:
Georgetown Cupcakes, Sprinkles and Baked and Wired. For those seeking glueten-free -- the Baked and Wired were by far the best. We also like how they wrap their cupcakes vs. the others. They don't use those annoying cupcake holders...rather than wrap them nicely in wax paper and they look lovely...they're much bigger too. |

I didn't realize Baked & Wired did GF cupcakes PP. Do they have them every day? What flavors? I don't see anything on the website. I might have to take my kids this weekend if they have them - one has celiac.
I don't really love Hello Cupcake (GF or regular). I like the Buzz ones a lot. |
The best part about Baked and Wired is that the other baked goods are just as good as the cupcakes. Teresa is an actual baker, not one-trick ponies who only makes cupcakes. I got a pie for Thanksgiving that was really good, and the cookies, bars, brownies, etc. are great too. (And the Hippie Crack - oh my. Granola the way God intended it to be.) |

Hi -- I just saw your question today -- yes -- Baked + Wired always has glueten free cupcakes...they were delicious -- the day we went they had chocolate strawberry with delicious frosting...not cream cheese!
