| The mom jean/cord crew were out in full effect this morning at the Silver Spring Farmers Market. What I can't understand is the sweatpants/yoga pants look. All of these women looked like they were escaping from a fire in their home and threw on the first thing they could get their hands on. |

Funny - just goes to show how complete fashion out of it DC is...this Friday was corduroy appreciation day!
http://www.npr.org/2011/11/11/142235914/friday-is-corduroy-appreciation-day And, when I was in France last month, everything was corduroy for the fall (of course, it was all orange and green). But, I'm sure some NW mom in her last year Coach knock-off would know so much more about what's hot. Tell us more OP! Please...we're dying to know about what you think is cool. |
Hahaha! Friday must have been a "Bring-your-corduroys-to-work" day. I'm also looking forward to hearing from the OP. |
Do you guys think the OP knew that it was corduroy appreciation day and was making fun of it? Being a shameless man when is National Victoria Secret Week? OK...I served up a softball, have at it.

OK, so I know mom jeans are a fashion don't. But seriously, what is a non-skinny mom to wear? Are mid-rise jeans acceptable for those who cannot pull off the low-rise? You don't really want to see low-rise jeans under a post c-section shelf of a belly and a muffin top, do you? Shall I just wear a barrel?

I hate to say it, but the Kim Kardashian Sweetheart jeans from Old Navy have become my good friend. They're a little higher than mid rise, but not up to my belly button. Just enough to cover the "fluffy" part of my tummy. They're cheap too - probably wouldn't fly in most DCUm circles, but so be it - better than Mom jeans or muffin tops!
