i think the key is that neither tyra nor jennifer have a stomach. that is a proven indicator to health (propensity towards diabetes, heart attack, etc). so they are prettt healthy. all opinions seem to be focused on the size of their other assets, which are indeed culturally driven opinions and have no basis in ascertaining the state if their health. i guarantee you that these two are far healthier than 80% of the posters (me included, i am relatively normal sized but carry weight in my stomach after pregnancy). i sm
not sure why we even care to judge these two - they seem like nice ladies just living their lives (no paris hilton or lindset lohan). |
| I'd love to see pics of those of you who think that Tyra and JLH look bad. Of course, since no one will ever post that, why don't you post pictures of a celebrity who you think does look good. |
| Wow, I think she looks great! |
PP, I have a feeling we're going to see a bunch of Jennifer Aniston's pics.

Must say . . . these pics sure put things in perspective!! |
Please, no! I'm soooo tired of seeing her pictures. |
Eh?? I know a size 8 isn't small. I was mentioning it bc others have talked about how only thin women think she doesn't look good. I'm 5'3" and 129, trying to get back to pp weight of 125. |
| She looks good. Beautiful face and hair. |
another cow. and why is 37 old? |
| I posted at the Tyra link, and am her age; it was something I came across, mentioning possible weight fluctuations. No judgement call was made. |
A lot of these perceptions are cultural or ethnic. I'm from Brazil and legs like hers are what almost every woman strives for and what most guys like. The average in shape white American has very skinny legs and their thighs just look flat and dull, IMO. Maybe you should move to Brazil, or pretty much over half the globe that admires this kind of body shape. |

| And people wonder why women can't get along with each other. As long as we judge each other (and more importantly, OURSELVES) based on such superficial criteria, we will never be truly liberated. I can almost get why women put down other women who don't make ANY effort to look attractive as silly as that may be, but that isn't even the case here. JLH obviously has her hair done, her makeup on and is fashion forward, whatever that means. What purpose does it serve any of us to call her a cow or talk about how ugly we think her legs are? What do our looks or weight have to do with our character or achievements? Women, stop buying into these media hyped male fantasy driven ideals. When you die, wouldn't you want your legacy to be based on what type of person you were as opposed to how you looked in a bikini? We're not this stupid and insecure, are we? |
