Would you go to a birthday party on a Sunday morning?

No, only Catholic churches. Protestant churches have services on Sundays.

I would go if it was a good friend of ours or our kids. If it was a random classmate and I did not feel like going, I would not.

We are not religious so yes, we would go. Sundays are just like Saturdays for us.

My family personally no we would not go in our religion sundays are ment for spending time with your family and it is a day of rest and we would very politely decline

Nope, we'd be at church.

I'd go. I'll probably do a Sunday morning party myself at some point.

I'd have to really like you/your kid if it were before 11/12. Otherwise, I'd probably send my husband/son if he can get our son out of bed as he usually sleeps in too.

Somebody clearly didn't take her meds this morning. I'm not the OP but I think she's trying to decide if she will get a decent turnout if she throws a Sunday morning party. She's not asking you whether SHE should attend a party. Duh.

I would attend, OP. Sundays are no different from Saturdays for us.

Not the pp you are responsing to but on a side note- WHY are the "comebacks" for posts people dont like to "go take your meds." Grow the f* up seriously. Its an annoying and really umb thing to say.

Signed,

Someone not on meds but thinks you are an idiot.

I'm the PP who wrote the "off her meds" comment. And I AM on meds. In fact they are a big part of what enables me to enjoy life, relax, and not walk around looking for meaningless reasons to be offended. Perhaps you could benefit from them as well, PP.

you must get invited to a lot of parties.

I would go only if DC really wanted to go. Otherwise, that's my only morning to sleep in and recharge for Monday.

Not true. Our Episcopalian church offers Saturday evening services.

These are my feelings as well.

I am churchgoer - well on and off - and I wouldn't go just because I think its a really weird time to have a bday party.

Instead of seeking DCUM posters' opinions, it seems that it might be more helpful to think of the children you intend to invite and consider whether or not most come from Christian families who attend church on Sunday mornings. If not, then it wouldn't matter.

We don't regularly attend church and I still think it's weird to have a party Sunday morning. I grew up going to church on Sundays so perhaps that's why I feel this way, but I really like Sundays to be spent with my family.
