Can't stand some wives of presidential candidates and present first lady

What is Michelle Obama doing that is important? Telling parents to stop feeding their kids junk food and fast food junk? This is obvious. She isn't teaching children to read, write, etc.

If it's so obvious, then why are so many parents ok with feeding their kids junk that will eventually lead to a multitude of diseases? Why are there so many obese kids? If you don't think the state of health and obesity in this country is a problem, then you are fooling yourself.

The older Barbara Bush looks exactly like the Quaker Oats guy.

Just sayin'.....

Perhaps this was not obvious to your parents.

I like Michelle. She hates the stupid gig. She also was honest enough to admit that Barak smells terrible and doesn't pick up his socks. I personally think that took a lot of courage.

Sarah Palin admitted that she smells like salmon. I think that took a lot of courage, too. And it's good that she realizes she should at least cover up with perfume the odor that a good shower can't eliminate. Fish oil and fish gut stink are tricky to remove.

She's just being modest and highlighting her love of outdoors activities. I haven't heard Todd complaining about a chronic every-day odiferous emination that develops from within the Presidents body and gets all over the bed and airforce one. Yuck.

Nt doing very well with her campaign because McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, are going strong. Soda, potato chips, and other junk food sells like crazy.

Well then why was he sleeping with a masseuse?

First ladies have a difficult job. You have to be smart, but not TOO smart, pretty, but not TOO pretty, into a cause, but be careful it doesn't cross into anything REAL, anything policy related. It's a no win for most mere mortals. Just like all the rest of us women who have to try to be perfect, to whatever standards we are held.

And what, Presidents aren't supposed to take vacations? Has any modern president ever stopped taking vacations, whatever horrible thing was going on?

Childhood obesity is a serious problem. It's a "Safe", motherly type issue for her to tackle. Drugs and literacy have been done. I don't have a problem with her charity of choice, so to speak.

Now if she was canvassing for Planned Parenthood or something I could see your complaint....

It's not, any more than breast cancer is. An organization that works to reduce childhood obesity is a nonprofit, as is a foundation to find a cure for breast cancer.

You can make charitable deductions for breast cancer even though it is also a cause. Childhood obesity is not a charity but a cause. Thus far, there is no Race for the Cure of childhood obesity while there is a race for the cure of breast cancer. MO is high profile and it would be very good for the FLOTUS to make breast cancer her major cause and childhood obesity second..

She's older and prematurely gray. She's also a very classy, intelligent lady who's not afraid to be candid and has a great sense of humor. Also, sorry to have to tell you, but your turn to look old is coming as well. Chin up, shoulders back, looking forward with a positive attitude--you can do it!
