Tell Sarah Palin: Violent threats have consequences

Anonymous
In my view, we can't blame this on Palin. This clearly was just a deranged lone gunman. After all, there will always be various violent loonbags who don't have the ability to distinguish reality from their violent fantasies. For example, the idea that the President isn't really a US citizen. Or that the health care reform bill passed by Democratic congress was some sort of treasonous, unconstitutional power-grab, which was fundamentally un-American. Or that it included "death panels". Or that the President is "coming for our guns." Etc, etc, etc... ad nauseum. And that's just the most mainstream or the mainstream GOP hyperbole. We won't even include the likes of Glen Beck, or Limbaugh...

Only the stupidest, most imbecilic shit-for-brains with a tenuous grasp of reality would think that any of these charges are anything but naked political grandstanding. It's election-year rhetoric, pure and simple. So you can't really blame someone like Palin for the fact that anyone would take them seriously. How are they to know what a bunch of credulous fuck-whistles comprise the modern American "conservative" movement.

So leave Sarah alone!!

I don't think any website, rhetoric, vote, etc. pushed this guy. He had some interest in her and decided to target her. We don't try to shut down churches when women say they were ordered by god to kill their own children. We don't even imprisonate them. Why? Because they're just crazy.

Did anyone else see the former classmate emails in WaPo?

13:13 PP here who condemned all violent rhetoric and imagery. It's deplorable, no matter who does it. If Palin's list had not included Rep. Giffords, she would not have gotten dragged into this like this. (Duh but geez.)
