Certainly sucks for Sterling and any kids who switched from their current teams for that MLS B team Badge.

Doesn't it show your opponent more respect by playing the best you can against them?

Yeah I'm sure winning games 13-0 is a great learning experience for both teams.....

In my experience this is really tough for a coach. Many years ago my son's team was placed a tournament bracket below what they should have been and one of their opponents was clearly overmatched. At about 5-0 the coach pulled a player, but it was still uneven. At about 10-0 he told the players they needed to connect 50 passes before going to goal. But . . . having the kids count out the number of connected passes was probably even more embarrassing for the other team. Same thing when you tell a team not to score and they possess the ball like a game of keep away. It's just hard.

There's a million things a winning coach can do in a lopsided game to make it more competitive. Put an inexperienced keeper in. Go down in numbers on field players. Etc etc.

So he did not put in an inexperienced keeper, how does that keep the better team from scoring? Play less players than the other team forcing your kids to run harder risking injury to his own players? This the best you got?
