would anyone choose UMichigan engineering over GTech?

my son melts in anything over 80’ so Michigan would be preferable.

Visit to UMich School of Engineering was incredible— facilities are top notch & students were busy and happy. I was so impressed by the things we saw at UMich. Then went to tour Ross— also very, very nice. But my daughter then showed me the videos of the brand new rec center and I was just… wow. If only it were not so expensive OOS. Though it does look like all that money is buying extremely nice things.

The brand new rec center that isn't open yet?

In general, I'm pretty favorable toward Michigan, but I'm a bit salty about that rec center. I have a sophomore there, and we've been paying the supplemental fee for the new rec center for what, four terms now, and it still isn't open? I can only imagine the ire of the kids paying for it who will never get to use it.

Just take solace in knowing other kids coming later will enjoy it.

PP. I'd rather have the $600 or whatever it's been back. My kid lives in one of the hill dorms and has watched this thing not opening all year. They've seen what appear to be university officials touring the place. We've seen information about it quietly change or disappear from official websites.
