It’s an a-hole move to be mad at the valuation of Walmart and blame the poor people who shop there. |
I just $8.00 for a pound of ground beef at Wegman's. |
It is a vicious cycle ostensibly created BY the Walmarts of the country. |
|
It all goes to show we
1.) need to bolster worker protections back up and pay living wages, and 2.) we need to tax big corporations and the billionaires enriched by them a bit more. That much is crystal clear. |
yup yup yup |
PP. Yes. I am simply saying we must differentiate between the corporation and the human beings who rely on the corporation. |
| I think OPs statement about the customers is the same mentality that MAGA uses about immigrants. She's got the same attitude that somehow they're "less than" and deserve bad things. It's not okay. There's a big wide world out there that depends on Walmart and stores like Dollar General. |
And the Metas, etc |
We also need to break up the giant monopolies that are driving the prices of essential goods so high. |
+1, leaving for Europe soon as well. Just weighing my options right now about the best country to move to. Can’t wait to leave this dumpster fire and all you fools behind. F Trump. F America. F all of you who won’t do something to stop him. I hope you all starve and die. I’ll be LMAO from Portugal or Monaco or Corsica. Bye Felicia! |
Walmart customers are scum. Filth. They elected Trump. They are trash. And yes, they deserve whatever bad things happen to them. Every tornado that hits their trailer park, every gram of meth they snort, every OD, every job lost. Rural America can eff off and die. |
The flaw in your idea is that people don’t just up and die just because you want them to and when you wish for their suffering and death then they surely stop caring one iota about YOU and your family and they are probably willing to fight you to the death over their own survival. All you are accomplishing with your rhetoric is war and violence that harms us all. That’s why peace is actually more difficult than war and also more noble. |
Interesting how you glossed over those "low paid store workers" which would be the bulk of the employees. Are you in the Epstein files? You display the same sort of ethos as those that consorted with him. |
DP and I agree with you. Walmart sucks. Their business model is profitable but their practices hurt a lot of regular people. There is no perfect system and capitalism certainly isn't one. Too many bad actors in the world. That is why we do need some government regulation in a capitalist system. Pure capitalism will always hurt those at the bottom. I also agree with many PPs that it is frustrating as f*ck that these same people vote for the GOP which will only help the Walmarts of the world and never themselves. |
To be fair the democrats were in power for a long time during the same period that Walmart was hollowing out the small towns and creating the monopoly in the first place. Offshoring was never slowed during Clinton and Obama so why would they think that democrats care about their economic well being? |
