An inability to accept that doesn't lead to a way to impose your will on others, whether through a "general strike", rioting in the streets, or by posting diatribes on social media.

So the fools that used our democracy voted in an oligarchy led by a wannabe absolute monarch. No, that’s not what our founding fathers were hoping for. That’s a whole separate country (which, I’d be happy to give MAGA if the rest of us who give a hoot about the Constitution never, ever have to deal with again.)

If everyone is staying home then ICE will be able to practice beating up each other. I don't understand why restaurants, movie theaters, hotels don't refuse to serve them. Public places can refuse to allow these ICE cretins into their premises.

Jesus Christ people. Freedom is a constant struggle. Every freedom you have is because someone fought and died for it. You can sacrifice just a tiny bit to continue enjoying the freedoms you have because others sacrificed for you.

Tell that to an hourly wage worker with kids.

Do you enjoy freedom or not? Inconvenience is part of the deal.

I work in schools with kids whose families have 4 kids in a 2 BR apt. Their dads mow lawns. Moms are housekeepers. They can't stay home with their kids. Get real.

Then enjoy no longer living in a democracy. You people still do not seem to get what is at stake, and you honestly do not deserve to enjoy the rights your ancestors fought and died to give you.

Perhaps I’m in a bubble. I haven’t shopped at Target in over a year. I’ve never had Prime — and know multiple people who have cancelled their Prime memberships and focused on spending their dollars in line with their values whenever they can. I’ve cut way back on my Amazon orders, and tend to use it for products that I can’t obtain elsewhere. Thanks to a newly opened Trader Joe’s, I’ve cut my Whole Foods purchases way back too. Refraining from shopping for ONE day is something I can do. If I can do this, I’m sure that highly motivated citizens in Minnesota can manage avoiding Bezos businesses for a day — even the ones who can’t manage a day off from work.

Yes to this. I boycott Target for months and still barely shop there unless I can’t avoid it.

Mostly go to Costco, Lidl and Trader Joe’s.
