If the US is serious about "taking over" Greenland, then it is at least as great as security threat to Western Europe as Russia is.

And should be treated accordingly.

The US is an exporting nation. That is a big source of its wealth. About 20% of US exports go to Europe, and NATO keeps Europe stable. The US needs Europe and Europe needs the US. Without Europe, what rich countries will replace it as an export destination - Russia? Saudi Arabia? China?

Whether or not the US has trade deficits does not negate that American companies benefit from exports. Are you saying that US corporations do not generate substantial revenues from exports? By the way, when it comes to services, the US more often than not generates trade surpluses. Dear Leader always forgets to mention that.
