I leave food out for up to 24 hours at a time.
I do cover it on countertop with a cloth or if on the cooling stove, a lid. If things like deli meat smell weird, I give them to my dogs, they have a different digestive system. (Keep in mind that dogs can drag dead things from under bushes and play with them with their mouths and not get sick) I think there was some Kennedy divorce case where someone was complaining about the other parent leaving tuna fish sandwiches out in the sun (it may well have been RFK Jr involved) and I was like lol |
