Working on opposite ends of the beltway — where to live?

Silver spring/Kensington. I’m 10-15 minutes away from both.

I used to do a long commute (Silver Spring to Alexandria, we did eventually move) and I didn't think metro commuting was so bad because I got to read a lot. Now that was pre kid.

So my advice is find somewhere metro accessible maybe along the blue/yellow/green lines (not say way out on Red) and it's a better commute.

In the neighborhood called Forest Glen North of the Beltway there is a new apartment building within walking distance of the red line check the commute to Tyson’s from there

Noma or union station area makes sense and is fun- person that commutes to CP can drive and the person to tysons can metro. Neither are horrible commutes.

I did a commute from Capitol Hill to College Park for a few years. It’s not so bad and is against traffic. And it’s a fun neighborhood with lots of walkability.
