LAC Biology Pre Med

Holy Cross is great if you are a mediocre student who can't get into a top SLAC or university, so you have to settle.

One of the best non woke SLACs in the country. Along with Georgetown and ND best Catholic schools.

Woke means absolutely nothing anymore. You people are obnoxious.

NP The over the top boosting of Holy Cross needs to stop. It is not a top tier school in any arena and is absolutely not known for its med school admissions. The rabid pushing of nonsense related to HC is a complete turnoff; anyone who might have been interested is now looking elsewhere.

Really? I went to HC and played LAX. Have an MBA from Columbia. Look up the word daft in the dictionary. Maybe your face will be there.

Kid. They are not aggressive enough to work the system like you have to; would drown.
What exactly do you mean by "work the system"? Give specific examples. What important things would they be unable to do at a big school that they could at a LAC?

That fact that you think an MBA from Columbia is a top tier outcome to the point that you think bragging about it will impress the readers of this board says a lot about the culture of Holy Cross alumnae.

My DS went to Kenyon. Kenyon? Yes they do science. Look up MIT’s Whitehead Institute. A Kenyon alum and MIT professor help start it, who would have known?

It was an adjustment at first but he wound up attending Ohio State Medical School, did a residency at Emory, and now a fellowship at Wisconsin. He swears up and down that his Kenyon degree prepared him perfectly for med school and the grind behind it. Many of his friends followed the same path via Williams, Lafayette, etc while others did R1 undergraduate and wound up at the same place. He also has a friend who majored in Philosophy and wound up being an MD.

The lesson is dig on these schools and do your research. Many colleges exist in America that may not be marque and are still excellent.

Were we supposed to be impressed that you got into a cash cow masters program at Columbia?
