There is always opportunity for those with hustle.
Both of my nieces are working for tech companies. One majored in English at NYU and one majored in Psychology at Stetson. They only have undergrad degrees. They get recruited all of the time. |
I do not think "many female roles" are simply for men, as you wrote. Women run everything. Without women's labor, largely uncompensated, the world would grind to a halt. This is why we need more women scientists. So much R&D and technology, and they use it to make a s3x toy for men. |
But it feels like a pyrrhic victory if my child becomes the Cockroach Protein King or something. Depressing. |
100% this. Humanities majors as well as Stem majors are doing great from kid's ivy. The outcomes are amzing even in the downturn. Plus every friend we have with kids who graduated in the past 3 years from T20 LAC or T40ish university has gotten a job or gotten into professional school. it's not that dire. calm down OP. |

Not worried at all. 18-year old is already working while in college as he was bored and wanted to max out his Roth.
Younger one has inheritance growing and waiting for him to turn 18. There should be more money coming from family as none of the 10+ uncles and aunts have any kids. I see my kids becoming caregivers at some point. I have no idea what they are going to do for living after CS/ electrical engineering degree, but we are investing heavily. They also have Eu country passport if they need to move to a cheaper country or go to school there. Most importantly, they have zero mental and physical health issues. |

In 1982, if you are willing to work hard "your children will be fine"
In 2025 "If our children are willing to work hard, they will be fine!" |
who are these smart employers? please show me where the salaries and employment rates of these majors have increased vs others. this forum is absolute joke with posters like you |
two preunemployment majors sure look promising |
