Check tomorrow. They said the same thing to me, 5-7 day, but it was much faster. The only weird thing is that if I try to download report, I can download the PSAT report, but not any of the other reports in the account. There must be some glitch. I can see the other scores and go to the details, but just not download a report. |
Who at the school gets this—registrar or counseling office? |
Do teachers get this info? |
It may vary school to school; DC’s private school has a specific test coordinator and she’s the one who gets the scores, although she shares with the college office. I’d start with your college office. |
Probably not. |
Those scores should be solidly above the commended cutoff. |
|
DC score went up 230 from 10th last year, 225. He prep for SAT over the summer |
Huh????? |
It's not stressfu,l because national merit scholarship is meaningless |
228 is maximum. |
My best guess at interpreting PP’s comment is that their son’s PSAT score went up by 230, and the index was 225. |
There are YouTube tutorials. I’ve heard that “all math is desmos-able” so I’ll test it on my kid |
Mom with a 1320 kid here, he says he wants to prep and do it again for National merit, my plan is to help him mostly myself and maybe hire a 1:1 tutor for a few hrs to explain the tips and tricks. Desmos he can learn himself. |
I think it really depends on the kid. Mine has issues with seeing stuff through from start to finish, with motivation long term, so his grades are meh as well his ECs. However he is good at working under pressure for a short while, doesn’t seem to have much testing anxiety, therefore he is a good test taker. I told him this was his strength and window of opportunity, we’ll see if he is able to prep and do a leap his junior year |
You can see the scale for the corresponding sat scores. |
