Thoughts on whether this year’s PSAT was harder than last year’s?

Some posts on reddit, once again, where scores dropped from last year. Poor quality work product from College Board, unless College Board is, in fact, trying to ratchet down on scores.

And when I say scores dropped from last year, I am referring to individual students whose score went down.

My kid’s score went up 200+ points from 10th last year to 11th last month.

DC was in the first set of scores released, not tonight’s, but this was true for them as well.

My kid got same score, but thought this year’s “felt harder”.

NP. Same score as last year? There is supposed to be an increase in score representing growth in academic skills over time. Some students' scores are not making sense.

Did they practice or do any tutoring? Ds did well on the 10th grade test this year, but there was definitely room for improvement, especially in math. Just wondering how to approach it.

Scored very well both times. Not much room for movement.

1480. Won’t make dc cutoff for NMSF but that’s fine.

My kid's score came out tonight and she went up 200 points from spring. Nothing close to a great score, but still nice to see it going in the right direction. Would be great if it was actually harder than last year's.

Went down from 1500 to 1470 in NJ. DC expected a lower score as DC thought it was much harder this year. It's fine.
