We met organically not on the apps. He is an adult with his own money, property and things and is not looking to me for money, mentoring or mothering. It is very easy, we laugh a lot and have a lot of fun together. I don't have children (not by choice) and he doesn't want them.

If the genders were reversed here, this thread would be lighting up with comments. If he is dating a woman who is 16 years older, he is looking for mothering.

Do you notice the side-eye when you are out with him? We had a friend in our social circle who was also doing the "couger/cub" thing, and the comments were merciless (e.g., Does he have curfew?). However, a man in this same circle started dating a much younger woman (post-divorce), and the same comments were made.

You are not superficial at all. The bad teeth is a big issue I have noticed in people over 45. I don't mind crooked teeth (their parents just never got them braces), but the yellow teeth, stained teeth, unfilled cavities are rampant among the women 45+ that I have dated. I don't have straight teeth myself, but I keep my teeth clean and visit the dentist regularly.

I am a 52 years old mechanical engineer who makes $170k. How do you guys make these insane salaries? I am really impressed. I love my job and my profession, I don't know any mechanical engineer who even makes $250k. I am sure they exist, but the extent of $400k+ salaried people on this forum makes me feel like a loser lol

Some men don't want even the slightest risk of getting a woman pregnant, so they play it safe and date older.

There are many stories of younger women claiming they are looking for marriage and kids and then flipping when their partner checks all their boxes. Many older women are not interested in getting married again or in having kids? And this is appealing for a man who wants the companionship and sex but not the 'oops' baby or the "oops, it changed my mind and want a baby and marriage".
