He seems insecure. Dating as an Asian guy in CO sounds tough. And, sure enough, he gets dumped as soon as she sees him. Brutal.

They should pay for Patrick’s therapy after that trauma! And the humiliation of him not realizing she was rejecting him—for his looks—due to her obfuscation . It was painful to watch him believe in her.

He will now lose all the confidence he had gained, after enduring previous racism from women. ☹️

I really think Patrick needs to move to a city with more Asian people - NYC, Seattle, PDX, SF, LA. Honestly, his only flaw is his self esteem. But on paper he's a great guy.

Good idea.

That could be hard though if he is close to his family.

I knew a kid adopted from China who grew up in Colorado. Her grade school pictures kind of broke my heart.

Not necessarily. I think more she was hoping he was a "hot Asian" like he suggested. He's a nice enough looking guy, but definitely not hot.

Totally agree.

She seems unkempt. Like she did not know a film crew would be dropping by that day.

Why did she mention she had concerns about her family then?

He might not be hot enough for them?

No, the casting directors suck. No way it wasn't apparent he'd be meltdown city. I'm honestly concerned for KB. But also disappointed she didn't take that opportunity to leave.

They cast this group for maximum train wreck potential.

She was flailing to avoid saying the truth she expressed to producers: she's not attracted to him and can't envision ever getting there.

He’s no Henry Golding or Harry Shum, that’s for sure!

You know that's totally what she pictured in her head when he said "hot for an Asian."

Would you be comfortable with someone who says, “you are attractive for someone who is black?”

Doesn’t that suggest most black people are not attractive?

I have never heard, “he is hot for a Caucasian.” People leave it at, “that guy is hot”

Anything else is racist.
