Season 1 was the best. Lauren had never dated a white guy before and fell in love with Cameron in the pods and they are so adorable together. When hot mess Jessica tried to get in between Barnett and Amber, they stayed a united front. After that, the show has not found the same magic really. There were more couples that divorced than stayed together I think, and when it comes to reunion shows, I feel like now I'm expecting to hear that at least one of the couples has broken up.

I think the premise is just off a little - you can fall in love sight unseen, but if the physical connection is not there then there's no hope. Also, I think one month is way too short a time to decide whether or not you want to marry them - the engagement period for a lot of couples is a trying time, and the fun part of being in a relationship fades too soon for the couple to have any foundation they can fall back on.

Who are you looking forward to seeing at the reunion episode? I'm hoping they put Patrick back on because I would love to hear his reaction to seeing how clueless he was in the Kacey breakup episode.

I think as far as reality shows go, Big Brother has the best success rate for marriages and babies. And it's not even intended to be a dating show.

I guess being locked in a house for 2 months does let you get to know a person, because you have nothing else to do all day but talk.

The hours of talking on BB far exceeds the hours on LIB, so when they form a bond, it has a better chance to last beyond the show.

Because he's NOT a single father. (And I take issue with women who do the same.) I have friends who have kids and are not married. One friend is a single mother - there has never been a father or father figure in her child's life. She has paid for everything, made every decision regarding her child, and handled all logistics. My other friend co-parents with her childrens' father - he pays child support, takes the kids to activities after school, takes them on vacations, shows up to school meetings, etc. The first is a single mother, the second is not.

Yes, it is annoying that he makes it sound like he has zero free time. My divorced mom friends have more free time after divorcing now that the ex-husband has to step up and actually parent the child. My divorced mom coworker can take girls' trips, work late whenever they want, be on a tennis team, take yoga classes, etc. totally guilt-free on the days when the ex- has the kids. Jordan has one kid who he co-parents with his ex-. He is not on call 24/7. He seems to have martyr complex. Plus, I'm not a fan of all of those tattoos either. Megan dodged a bullet.

True, but managing diabetes at that age is alot. He also seems to have a high tempo job. No bandwidth to enjoy young love.
