Um... you seem to have left out the part where DC bought the land for $15 million while Maret spent $700,000 to fix it up.

But that’s inclusive…..for Maret

It was far cheaper for Maret to have a backroom deal access to a DC public field than to develop its own.

Agree. It’s cheaper to steel than pay for your own things.

But much more expensive to learn how to spell🙄

I wonder if the aluminumati gave them a kickback for the goals. The Strength Metal Cabal wants to know!

Sorry for the typo! Glad that you agree with me that stealing is cheaper. You should be CFO of Maret.

I can confirm that is not the case, but someone more sinister from a failed school is involved.

Maret beat Landon at Sidwell today.

My kids go to Sidwell, so we checked out the first half or so. Great scene. Maret football travels well - their fans were everywhere. Landon had fans, but not nearly as many. Landon students outnumbered by Maret students. My kids told me that's because the Landon students are busy with other sports, while the Maret students on site are not.

Anyway, great game to watch. Maret continues to punch above their weight class, largely due to an extremely loose admissions policy for football players. Any football player in the dmv can go to Maret if they are looking for a home. The new field should help recruiting.

Actually it’s because Maret students coordinate presence across all sports and even coordinate outfits (camo, blackout, etc) so student athletes feel supported and seniors make the most of their last year. We had this at my high school also with one senior being the spirit leader. That’s why they have a good presence, not because of a lack of things to do.

Wow, do you have lessons I could sign up for? That was a masterclass in backhanded compliments.

That’s a good point. Normally students are busy with other things not attending matches of classmates.

Is this some kind of rivalry game ? Maret was up two scores with less than a minute to play and they were calling timeouts and throwing the ball and trying to score again. Bush league in my opinion !

Can you imagine if your kids read what you wrote (about other students and educators) as an anonymous poster? Wow. How embarrassing.
