Why has there been a media blackout of this horrific crime?

I mean nobody wants to publicize such a mortifying violently disturbing crime. On public transportation in a metro with video and of a repeat offender. It's scary that it could happen to any one of us really. I'm not sure the powers that be want to discuss this kind of stuff when you can bring news that's not as impactful or more big picture in a manner of speaking to people. So it'll make the news but maybe not the national news when we already have death, war, political turmoil and economic uncertainty.

Public transportation has become a hub for the homeless and criminals. It’s actually disturbing. Maybe the National guard needs to be everywhere even in schools because this country is too off the rails and too many deranged lunatics are running around

I'm a firm believer that we need to reinstate state mental institutions for people whose families can't help them out of fear for their own safety. They shouldn't be unleashed on an unwitting public or left to fend for themselves on the streets. Police are not equipped to properly handle these folks and our current "system" is utterly inhumane and dangerous.

A young woman who escaped the war in Ukraine sat down in her seat on the light-rail train heading home after her shift at a restaurant. With no warning, a black man seated behind her who had been arrested 14 times previously, grabbed her head and slit her throat killing her. He walked off the train with blood dripping from the knife.

It was a horrific crime, video exists, and it is absolutely shocking that it hasn’t made the national news. I’m confident that if a white man had done the same to a beautiful young black woman heading home from work on the train, there would be headlines.

It's been 2 weeks since this brutal murder of an innocent victim who was minding her own business and didn't make eye contact with this longtime mentally ill man who's been freed repeatedly after his multiple arrests to commit even more crimes and now murder. Those articles only appeared recently because the Charlotte mayor and other authorities didn't want it known

Please Google. Although her murderer is in jail, he hasn't been to trial yet. She was lovely and innocent. He parents are devastated. There's now Aniah's Law in Alabama.
