Today’s SAT

My son thought it was ok. I guess we will have to see when the scores are released.

My DS said it was the hardest one he's taken so far out of his 2 attempts and out of all the practice tests he's taken except for one.

DD feels so defeated. After waiting 30 minutes extra to be checked in due to long lines she had a WIFI outtage towards the end of the 2nd harder math section and half way through the wifi never returned and after all that she was told she had no recourse except to have the test cancelled!

There are no September seats left in our region and now she's scrambling to find a seat for October or November.

I am soo frustrated with the College Board and this whole rat race! There is no SAT at her school so we were counting on this.

Your kid needs to give it a rest. Four times is ridiculous.

My kid also taking for 4th time and already has 770 on both sections. I think a complete waste of time but kid is a perfectionist. Thought in line with other tests, also took last August.

Today was my DS’s 4th time. He’s chasing as high a math as possible to be competitive for engineering. He has over 700 but feels it’s not enough. Why stop an ambitious kid if the cost isn’t a factor.

Is DD a junior or a senior? That’s really frustrating. Something similar happened to DS on his first attempt, which was end of he our year. It put a lot of stress on him. College Board offers no support.

She is a senior unfortunately.

That sucks PP. But in the end, it will be okay.

Check again when scores come out in two weeks. Pretty typical to register for multiple dates and then cancel if reach desired score.

I had a kid where they booked too small a room and filed the kids out mid-exam at one exam; and at other prior exams the proctors ate chips, candy, crumpled things loudly, spoke with other admins loudly instead of staying quiet during the tests....It is unbelievable to have an internet outage, though, that takes the cake! so sorry

Can she just do the free SAT day on Oct. 8th?

That happened at Yorktown in Arlington back in March.

That’s so frustrating - and doesn’t seem right! When DD was doing the computer set up on Thursday or Friday, the info specifically said that WiFi was only needed to start and complete the test, and that if there was a failure, students have up to 24 hours to get back on WiFi and have their tests submitted. I wonder why the testing site gave her different information??
