Based on this theory, will September and/or October be "easier?"

1st time for my junior. Thought the math was fine. Thought the verbal was harder than practice tests and will be better prepared after AP lit this year.

“It was fine.” Ugh- I get no info from my DC.

Third time for DD and said the verbal was hard but math was the hardest yet. All her friends were saying how easy it was so she’s a bit down. Lots of prep.

This year sat got harder than last year. DC school several took it last year and this year, the best score remains to be the last year’s.

DS said section 2 was harder than the practice tests. Said it was most like BB test #10 (newest one I think).

DS has typically not struggled with time on practice test but said it was tight.

Third time for my DD, was hoping to be her last, but she thinks she needs to sign up for the next one. She has no problem getting 5s on AP tests, but is having trouble with this doggone SAT. Can’t wait til we don’t have to think about this test anymore.

Your kid needs to give it a rest. Four times is ridiculous.

Says you. DC is already planning for a fifth and sixth.

Maybe she made it to the harder modules and they did not

+1 I probably used to think taking it more than three times was ridiculous, but here we are.

No, it’s still ridiculous. You’ve lost your mind.

Ugh… i’m afraid to ask, but is it normal to not finish? My daughter had to quickly just guess a few answers on each section.

No. Your child (or you) has decided to accept whatever best score s/he has made in 2-3 attempts. That's fine, perhaps, for your child. Others are trying to improve for whatever reason is unique to them. You have no idea what other students' individual situations are, and thus cannot make a blanket comment that multiple attemps - beyond your arbitrary number - are "ridiculous."

Yes. Very normal.
