Maybe google can help with your questions about putting chili in your toaster? https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=can+i+put+chili+in+a+toaster Spoiler, here's the AI answer: "No, you cannot put liquid chili or a canned chili product in a standard toaster because it will create a dangerous mess and fire hazard by dripping onto the heating elements. You can, however, use a toaster oven to make certain chili-related dishes, like a chili-cheese sandwich or to roast whole dried chilies, but you must use appropriate bakeware." |
No, that was someone else. I'm just laughing at your meltdown. |
If you could just explain why you so desperately want me to teach my latchkey kids to use the toaster oven, that would be great. I'm still waiting. |
| I don’t use my microwave that much but for things like frozen peas, frozen corn, reheating leftovers, melting butter, etc. - I strongly prefer microwave to stovetop. Also for warming up my coffee! |
I'm laughing at your inability to read and comprehend. |
The trick to heating frozen peas and corn on the stovetop is to not cook it for more than, like 2 minutes. Def a stove over a microwave option. As far as melting butter, I just put it in a bowl on top of my stove while I preheat the oven and it usually takes care of it. |
Time to jog on. |
What if you need the butter melted but you have nothing to bake? |
Time to eff off. |
Saucepan, stove on, 45-50 seconds. A microwave can probably do it quicker, but doesn't seem worht buying one just to do that. |

OP here, I'd consider one of those, but I've also read that they are kind of garbage microwave ovens AND garbage toaster ovens. |
True. But most of us already own microwaves. A stick takes like 10 seconds to melt in the mocrowave. |
No one cares that much about you. |
Right but I can microwave peas in 2 mins without the need to boil water. Similarly, I can melt butter in 30 seconds. So I’m going to use the microwave. |
