I am confused about what people are even talking about here? That if you are not white you turn down Maury or other neighborhood school? Or if you are non-white you don't like the Maury neighborhood? Or maybe something about the AP? Who knows. I will add that there are always conversations about school leadership, and it definitely is a factor that can and does impact school community. But as a former teacher, and a parent in DCPS there is a certain amount of the parent response to admin/drama that makes people feel lots of things, but does not impact what the teachers are doing in the classroom. |
