Eh |
You are utterly missing the point that these "life saving measures" were taken against the directives of the woman, and without the input of her family. |
Don't bother. They are off the rails. |
STFU disgusting forced birth ghoul. Even the most Catholic medical ethicists would have a huge problem with this. |
What a disgusting person you are. |
The baby lived. Dcum doesn’t like babies to live. |
Sure - I’m sure you’re a big Black Lives Matter supporter and advocate for black mother’s maternal health. |
In best case scenario where baby goes home, If you want this 24 weeker to have a chance at a good life. Will need a very expensive NICU stay likely covered by Medicaid. ( single dad will be with the baby in the NICU so not working? Until at least term so 14 weeks or more) Multiple therapies as early interventions. Likely multiple specialists involved in lifelong care (likely Medicaid) Likely will need and IEP. And early preschool at 3 and 4yo with services like speech. Extra hearing and Vision screens. After discharge if the baby eats PO expensive preterm formula paid for by WICC. Expensive new vaccines like Beyfortus to prevent an expensive hospital stay from RSV (or death) which premies are at high risk of. So saying you are pro life and wanting to protect this kid and in the same breath saying you are pro cute to Medicaid, vaccine research, IEPs, WICC, SNAP makes no sense. It is not realistic to think that a single parent can give this kid the care needed and not need these services. This much money can save lives of many many existing people struggling to pay hospital bills to get treatments to survive. |
Now there's that misinformation i was talking about. Good job! Trump would be proud |
Who'll pay their hospital bills? |
Should everyone be forced to be on life support until their bodies literally rot? should everyone be compelled to donate a kidney and a lobe of their liver? |
The mom was a nurse at Emory. Do you have proof she was uninsured? |
Dcum is horrified a baby lived and compares a human being to pieces of organs, and insists every mom wants her baby to die if she becomes sick or injured or ill. Do you know this woman wanted her baby to die? Source? Babies aren’t parts of organs. |
She DIED. What insurer pays out after the enrollee has died? |
Suddenly dcum democrats don’t want to care for born children, despite the trope that republicans don’t want children to have necessary medical care and food. I thought republicans were the people who didn’t care about children after they were born? The hospital that allowed this woman to go home when she should have been hospitalized and treated will settle with her family. Their malpractice insurance will provide millions for the siblings, as they should. |
