Have On shoes become for lack of a better word really dorky?

“Everyone “ had a pair. Meaning “everyone “ who you deemed affluent enough and stylish enough to matter to you? Gosh!

Lol: While only just this week I saw that my own ugly-comfy shoes of choice for the last two summers have now won the approval of the “Ask a Cool Person” columnists at NYMag. I’m a trend setter. Whee!

So 1990's

I’ve seen those too. Too showy for my personal style and middle age. But looks fun and cute on pretty teen and 20-something girls. And I don’t think those old retro ASICS are comfortable. More-so for aesthetics.

Oh crap - I've been wearing Nikes for years! I wish someone had told me this before. If I had known my friends and neighbors were cringing at me, I would have definitely changed brands.

What should I wear?!

Why do you care so much?? lol. Wear what you like. Life is too short to worry about what other people think of your shoes. I’m embarrassed for you that you care so much.

You need to recharge the batteries in your sarcasm detector.

Which cool shoes are you wearing?

Serious runners are in ASICS and Brooks, from what I can tell. Some New Balance.

My podiatrist told me to wear Hokas. I may look foolish, but walking without pain is worth it.

As a runner and walker with a lot of miles, Hokas have been better than any other shoe I've worn in my life.

I've used those for years and Hokas are a thousand times better.

Me either

Hokas might be wonderful but those really do look dorky. They are huge and remind me of the shoes from years ago that were supposed to help you burn calories.

I have one pair of Hokas that I did NOT get fitted at RnJ. They do not accommodate my orthodics, which I discovered too late to return.

FWIW Ons are "the" coveted shoe in my kids' elementary school, if that tells you anything ..
