I'm not suggesting they were ever "cool" but I think they had a certain cachet and everyone had a pair. Now whenever I see them I just think they look so dorky. Did they get too popular and thus too many less stylish and less affluent people are wearing them or maybe just a trendy new brand that got over-saturated and flamed out.

Funny, I always thought these were QC.
But yeah I think they look silly |
They were always silly looking. So are Hokas. |
I think the big Nike swoosh is super cringy and low class. On still has some cachet among upper middle class. |
Instead of On being favored by upper middle class in cozy athleisure, they became shoes worn by service industry worker bees and nurses. |
I’ve had them since they were first sold in the area. I dress like $h!t. So, you must be right. The new soles are so large might as well wear Clementine’s boxes.
Following this thread for new suggestions of shoes I can make you stop wearing when you see them on my feet. |
They're sneakers.
By definition, they're not dorky and cannot have any sort of cachet. They are what you put on your feet when more elegant shoes won't do. For God's sake. Pull yourself from the brink of insanity, OP. |
Typical venture capital scheme. I'm sure the early founders and investors got filthy rich. Pump pump pump until you produce way too many shoes, quality slips, inventory stacks up, big discounts, premium cachet sours. |
Never heard of this brand before this thread. |
Guys on my commute with fleece vests are always wearing them so, yes. |
As dorky as Hokas. For the 70+ crowd. |
Not in my circle. It's worn by the elderly. |
I never heard of them, either. I don't think I've ever even seen anyone wearing them! |
First time hearing about this brand as well. |
I like Ons but Hokas are ugly as sin. |
