And the right called the left snowflakes.

The PP’s point is true. Why the push to name military ships after civil rights leaders rather than military heroes? Glad Trump is making this change.

Do you understand the bad juju naval personnel have with renaming ships? You may as well sell it to some other country to use.

Unless it was a captured prize in the age of sail

The fourth Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier (CVN-81) is slated to be named for Doris "Dorrie" Miller, the first black recipient of the Navy Cross and who, manning an anti-aircraft gun, shot down as many as six Japanese planes during the Pearl Harbor attack.

Let's see if this one sticks.

What a crazy ass statement.
Milk was dead before Hegseth was even born.

Not true; stop making things up and stop spreading misinformation.

It’s absolutely true that they’re considering other names. Did no one actually read the article?

“According to a senior official familiar with a memo from John Phelan, the secretary of the Navy, they include Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Supreme Court justice; Ruth Bader Ginsburg, another Supreme Court justice, who became a feminist icon; Harriet Tubman, who, after being born into slavery, became an abolitionist instrumental in the Underground Railroad; Lucy Stone, a prominent abolitionist and suffragist; Medgar Evers, a civil-rights leader who was assassinated by a member of the Ku Klux Klan; Cesar Chavez, a labor leader; and Dolores Huerta, another labor leader.”

It stands out that they’re not reviewing the names of ALL of the ships — just the ones that were named for people who weren’t straight white males. I guess it’s assumed that all of the white males deserve the honors without question.

Sounds like he is an actual hero unlike Milk.

But the wrong color, for this administration.

Milk was dead because someone who Tucker Carlson admired shot him.

Now there is a person who is a true American hero.

Wow, you put that together, what a big boy! It still stands that Milk was gay and more of a man than Hegseth will ever be. That was the point.

The people making these calls are very fragile little boys and need mommy to tell them that they are big and strong.

It shouldn’t have even named after Milk in the first place, that’s why. He was in a relationship with a 16 year old boy! Nope.

But Trump's relationships with 14 year old girls is perfectly acceptable. Got it.

No one believes that. Sorry. Milk’s relationship is confirmed.

Oh really? “No one” believes that? You’ve polled every single person?

Plenty believe it.

Sure. Do you not recall losing the election while promoting this nonsense, and losing badly? Get over it, no one is buying these allegations.

Imagine how that amplified the age-based power dynamic. Shilts also goes into how Milk had a preference for teenage boys and made a habit of picking up drug-addicted runaways.

You people are kidding yourselves that Milk wasn't a terrible predator. I guess Trump's real offense to you all is that he's a heterosexual predator, not a gay one? WTF.

I hope that you will be as vocal about removing Gaetz and Trump and the rest of the Republican real pedos from office.

Not PP, but it’s the voters who remove people from office by not electing them or doing local recalls. It’s politicians who remove names from ships.

No, it’s because naval ships should honor the military.

Of course it will. A proper naming. Note that Miller actually is being honored for military service.
