Depends on your height, weight, and age, and your other specific medical situations.

But the apnea is resolved, and I no longer have to use a CPAP. Have you ever had to use a CPAP? It’s pretty miserable.

I will try and count calories more religiously.

Today I have eaten coffee, grapes and some cucumbers for lunch. Will try to add a protein for dinner. [/quote]

This is the problem! You need to eat reasonable, healthy meals throughout the day! If you eat like this regularly, your body will think you're starving and will hold on to every calorie it gets.

Eat a reasonable breakfast with some fat, protein and carbs. Then eat a reasonable lunch with some fat, protein and carbs. Finally, eat a reasonable dinner with some fat, protein and carbs. Add in some exercise, like cardio or weights. I'm not sure that simply walking 10k a day will get the weight loss you want. You need to spend about 30 minutes with your heart rate up.

The weight training is good to tone, but the battle of the bulge is won in the kitchen.

Why do you need their approval? You just extended your life.
