Some teachers change rooms but still teach the same grades |
Unfortunately he doesn’t, he wants his 30-40k bonus but for now he said his lawyer wife is the breadwinner. |
Whatever gripes folks may have, he genuinely cares about the students. ALL of them! |
No you don’t sir, if you cared about students you’d care about teachers and staff as well. You also wouldn’t say inappropriate things during meetings, what kind of role model is that? |
Didn’t Takoma choose him to be the Principal? You can easily see track record from the school he lead in Florida. |
Was that a good track record or a bad one? |
Not good. During his tenure the school got much worse and eventually closed. He became principal there in 2017. Clayton will ruin Takoma. “Woodson's academic performance had been going downhill over the past two years, the district said, and in turn, its enrollment was dwindling. This year 278 students were enrolled at the school compared to 500 students in 2016.” https://www.jacksonville.com/story/news/education/2020/11/10/carter-g-woodson-elementary-duval-county-close-end-year/6236950002/ |
crazy! Anyone who has worked with him knows he talks up how great he did in Florida...I guess it was just another one of his embellishments... |
There are so many variables involved in a school closure so hard to judge. Nonetheless, it’s obvious that he’s built so much mistrust in his current school and that needs to be rectified before more damage is done. |
How are the APs at Takoma? |
DCPS principals get a 30-40K bonus? |
Apologies it’s 20-30k Salary is 136k-237k Listen I am all for paying teachers and even good principals. But we have to get rid of this weird evaluation system that allows for such bonuses. |
He is in a Cluster with many crazy Principals who feed off of each other. dCPS has a type of principal preference. It is really bad. |
Bonus for what? Test scores? Enrollment numbers? |
We are a Takoma family. The behind the scenes issues are kept quiet and we are happy in the classroom. We will continue there. |
