It is sorta in the US Constitution, that pesky document that guides the values of our country.

I mean, I am for EPA and safe drinking water and other ways the government can help us with environmental factors. But how does the constitution specifically point to government hand in personal health?

I don't need to Google that. It's about defending the nation. It's defense and taxes. That is quite a stretch

google "general welfare clause I'm dying 😆😆😆

Why would anyone even want to live in and pay taxes to a country that can’t provide basic public health measures?

Basic public health measure does not equal MAHA. And it's not what the general welfare clause even refers to

But take that aside.. it goes against all public health measures to reduce scientific funding, limit access to vaccines, denied germ theory.. and legally, it goes against public health measures to remove fluoride from water and reverse course on pfas in water.

The Secretary of Health, the Trump nominee head of the CDC, and the Surgeon General, are all NOT currently licensed to practice medicine. Susan Monarez (acting CDC director and the nominee for head of the CDC), is not even a physician. She would be the first CDC director in more than 70 years without a medical degree.

The head of the NIH is not currently a practicing physician and has never completed clinical training beyond medical school.

This is so tragic for the country.

Find reliable sources to get your health information. Not the CDC or the surgeon general or NIH at this point. It is sad.

Ask your own medical doctor for advice and for sources that they consider to be acceptable for online research. Mine suggested Mayo clinic at one point for quick lookups. There was a lot of information there about vaccines, for example.

What health services from other English-speaking countries are considered reliable and backed by robust research?

Hopefully states will take this over. Truly terrifying.

I think unfortunately we need to turn to countries like France or Germany. I'll do France since I speak French. https://www.santepubliquefrance.fr/

People who are pro MAHA are people who hate America!

My news feed is full of headlines about record breaking temperatures and how millions of Americans are suffering in this heat.

Not a good time for you all to keep peddling "climate change is a hoax" nonsense. If you've ever had that or "green new scam" etc in your lexicon you should be quite embarassed.

Someone just pointed out that EPA administrator Zeldin is pushing climate denial and other nonsense in his newsletters.

Pure cringe.

Came here to suggest that if RFK Jr. wants to do something genuinely helpful and impactful (which demonizing vaccines isnt), that in addition to looking at potentially harmful pesticides and preservatives used in food, that he addresses the stupid "sugar creep" in American food. People love to point their fingers at the obvious, like soda and candy, but it's everywhere. American bread has way more sugar than European or Japanese counterparts, same with condiments, salad dressings, pasta sauce, yogurt,, peanut butter,, crackers,, and so many other things. And often it's not even sugar, it's high fructose corn syrup.

And all of that unnecessary sugar and corn syrup is driving obesity and a whole host of health issues. Kennedy should work with industry and establish clear targets and timelines for returning our foods back to traditional recipes and styles without all of the unneeded extra sugar and hfc.

Different wheat needs differing amounts of sugar to rise, but it's not much, there's no conspiracy. As for Asian food, what do you think rice is?

I’m a health care provider and frankly, I think there are things to like about it. Some of it is nutsy of course but as with most things, it’s not all bad

It’s way more serious than nonsense.

Zeldin is astoundingly ignorant. He couldn’t even answer middle school questions during EPW committee. No way he’s literate enough to have penned the “biggest deregulatory action in U.S. history.” Nixed 31 environmental rules and regulations that will harm ALL Americans’ health and fundamental right to clean air and water. The list is not exhaustive.

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse exposes his deception and possible crimes.
