+1000. Karl Frisch is a complete political slime-ball who cares not at all about your children. He doesn’t even have children, nor does he want any. He’s only using his school board position as a stepping stone to higher political office. |
“You sound crazy” most likely a post from Karl Frisch |
So many people get bent out of shape by the long bus rides Great Falls students have to take either to Langley or Herndon (not Great Falls families, but the people who want to increase test scores at Herndon), why doesn’t Great Falls deserve a high school? Great Falls residents on average pay the highest taxes to VA and Fairfax County, yet Great Falls doesn’t have a middle or high school. |
The bottom line is the money isn't there and Great Falls doesn't have enough kids to support a new high school or secondary school. You can spin your wheels wishing that Langley had been built further west, but it wasn't, and it wasn't only renovated in 2018, but expanded. Of course, Herndon was expanded as well, even more so than Langley, so it's fair to ask which under-enrolled high school kids in Great Falls should attend. But that question, too, appears to be off the table for the next five years. Put two forks in it. |
| McLean needs to be renovated and expanded first. All of the 50s ramblers in the walkable, surrounding neighborhoods are being torn down and replaced with homes occupied by families with 2-3 kids. |
Now the thread can be about two things that won’t happen any time soon. |
I’m fairly positive within the next 25 years McLean will receive a renovation. That assumes a roughly 50 year cycle between renovation projects. |
