Are most marriages just meh after 10-20 years?

I would say: in a hetero marriage, if the man keeps trying, the marriage will be good. Whatever effort a man puts into his marriage, the woman will give back 2 fold.

This has happened to several couples I know.

I think sometimes a person can’t even guess how their own marriage is going. They decide they are happy enough and push everything down.

We’re 27 yrs married, 29 together and it’s not meh. Great sex, lots of fun together, lots of laughs.

My husband has very little emotional intelligence. That’s my one issue with him and I try not to dwell on it.
