Wearing Pajamas to Drop DH off at work, are these drop off friendly in your opinion?

Anonymous
OP, I see people doing drop offs and walking into our local regional airport at 5 AM wearing pajamas as they are seeing the traveler off. I’ve always seen them more long pant pajamas.

Even though it’s 5 AM, there is something off about seeing people walking around in pajamas in the airport.

I’d recommend wearing loungewear.

Get. Dressed.

This whole country is going to hell in a handbasket, starting with people wearing pajamas everywhere. Ugh.

Now get off my lawn.

I agree. I can't believe the people I've run into out shopping in the morning who just roll out of bed and don't even comb their hair. Your should not be wearing pjs in public. Just throw on a shirt and pants.

I wear pjs to the bus stop but they are not shorty pjs! They are lounge pants.

I’ve seen other people drop off his colleagues in pajamas so I bought a pair of “drop off friendly” presentable pajamas as I return home to get dressed before work. I don’t get dressed for work until after I’m back home because I still have to brush the kids teeth, wash them up and make breakfast which 9/10 times something gets on my work clothes.

DH disagrees, he doesn’t own lounge clothing, jeans, or sneakers so his attire is always more formal but I do feel more put together than in my baggy sweats and t-shirts which I had been wearing. I’m briefly walking around the vehicle to switch drivers which is the only time someone would see top and bottom. Most of my lounge wear is mismatched, I don’t have any sets or paired lounge attire.

Please don’t or you drive.

Or at breakfast at a hotel for instance. These people are disgusting. I bet they don't even brush their teeth before heading out in public.

+1 I hate seeing people in their PJs at the hotel breakfast. You are not at home!!

If you have car problems you are a r@pe magnet in your cute shorty pjs with no underwear.

wait do people not wear underwear with their pajamas?

i just don't see how it's any easier to put on something like this than to pull on some regular shorts and a regular t-shirt.

What if you get in a fender-bender and have to get out of the car? Wear a quick pull on t-shirt dress, can’t take more than 30 seconds to change. I’d never get in a bed in clothes that I wear outside.

Plus one that wearing this set outside is ridiculous. And buying one for that is more ridiculous, even if you could afford to waste money on that which it sounds like you probably shouldn’t. Is there a hot coworker you’re trying to impress??

In summer those athleisure dresses with built in bras are good for this. Then you only have to pull on one thing and can even leave on your pj shorts underneath. REI and Title Nine sell a bunch. Prana is one brand.

Op here. Thanks everyone for these ideas!! For the other pp, I do wear panties, fwiw.

Op, I think your husband should take the bus. How old are your kids? And if you don’t want to get changed sleep in light pants and a tank with a built in bra and throw on a hoodie. But, bus.

1. This is the strangest thread
2. Please don't wear these pajamas or any pajamas for that matter. It's not very classy and it will really embarass your husband and make him a laughing stock.
3. Are you able to drive so that you don't need to get out of the get out of the car to switch drivers?
4. If you absolutely insist on wearing pajama like clothing how about a 3 pc lounge set like this one?
