Who has aged better? DH or DW?

Everyone I know with real money, the women look better by far. They start getting Botox by 30, get mommy makeovers after having kids, then start getting the more intense work (fillers, face lifts, nose jobs, etc) after 40.

I know multiple women who fly to various surgeons and injectors around the country, and many of them look 30-35 at age 50.

Yeah, no. This doesn’t happen.

Maybe Jeff Bezos is too poor for you, but look at his freakshow girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. I’m sure in her mind she looks 30-35, but to everyone else, she looks like a 50-something with a deformed, plastic-surgery face.

Women should always avoid most surgeries like that.

Aging gracefully by staying healthy is much more attractive than going under the knife.

Men too. Look at Mikey Rourke. He was sexy af years ago, and now looks like a circus freak.

There are some silver foxes to be sure but most are bald, bad skin and overweight, and the ones who obviously put a lot of time into their appearance are cyclists who give off a sleazy vibe

Bald has nothing to do with the attractiveness of a man, as long as he shaves it and keeps it clean.

But bad skin and being a fat guy is definitely not attractive.

Maybe that's from being married to those friends of yours? A bad marriage can take a toll on someone.

Same here

Each of our commitments to healthy living also have waxed and waned. When one is focused on good diet and exercise and the other isn't, that makes a huge difference.

I've noticed that many women, and especially white women age very quickly from age 49 to 53. If a husband and wife are 48, she probably aged better. If they're 54, he probably did. There are plenty of exceptions.

At my 25th and 30th high school reunions the women seemed to have aged better. At my 35th I didn't see much difference. At my 40th the men looked better on average. The women were starting to look like grandmas.

While she looks much older I still love her and will never leave her for someone "younger" can't believe I even have to type that.

I may have age well (of course I will eventually look my age one day) because of 1 exercise. That exercise is rowing. I am an avid rower and hiker as well. All I do is row, hike, and do squats and pull up. We do work out together with DW but her body just responds differently. But the most important thing though despite the fact she looks older and has a few pounds she wants to lose she is otherwise healthy and that's what matters. Look is just a bonus if you are healthy.

Do you mean rowing on a river or rowing with a machine? What would you call a decent daily workout on a machine (for yourself and also for a beginner)?

I think she would look fine if her boobs weren’t constantly on display. But also, he likes her so what’s it to me… leave the woman alone.

Of course women do not age as well because they have carried then birthed children which contributes to weight gain.

Plus men tend to look “sexier” as they age.. at least according to our current societal standards.

It’s not fair that males can still look polished + clean cut w/gray hair yet women look old + frumpy w/even some gray roots exposed.

Wealthy women with good taste know how to take advantage of Botox and fillers and med spa treatments in a way that makes them look great but not “done”. Lauren Sanchez is a freak and an exception- but many women in my circle look great for their age but not freakish and they do all the things. Including facelifts starting around age 50. It’s all about doing everything in moderation.

She has filler blindness and overfills.

Most women who get work done don’t look like that. The goal is for it to be undetectable.

Although there is a subset of women (and some men) who intentionally get too much work done as a way to get more attention. Eye tracking studies have found we spend more time looking at people who look plastic, even if we rank them as less attractive than a normal person.

We’re years apart, but both of us look younger. Generally I think the women look better. Look at Hollywood. I think the women in midlife look infinitely better than the men! All these guys who I used to think were hot, are definitely not, and I think my DH is attractive.

DH and I the same. We both exercise and eat well, both care about our appearance and invest in it.

Men age like wine. Women age like milk.
