They do sometimes depending on the the type of surgery, if aerosols or plumes are anticipated, and isolation status of the patient, as has been posted here several times with sources.

We have thousands of masks left over from Covid. We were going to donate them and other hygiene stuff. I guess we will keep them.

And as we saw during covid, if there are no N95 produced locally, you are not the first to get them - China, Korea, Canada will prioritize their own citizens in case of a pandemic, as they should.
