How are you feeling if you kid is deciding between Harvard and another school?

They will all be voted out of the administration …your kid will be coming out of college at a great time.

Proud Harvard alum this week!

Proud of Princeton, Harvard, Stanford and other institutions for having the backbone and fortitude to stand up and reject all of these patently false claims lodged under the banner of “fighting anti-semitism”.

I went to a rival school, and there's nothing but goodwill towards H right now. Even some talk of making donations.

I'd send my kid to H in a heartbeat (if it was otherwise a good fit). But I would avoid Columbia.

Anti-Semitism? The president of Harvard is Jewish.

Continue with that BS though - most Americans are waking up to the truth that criticizing Israel is NOT anti-Semitism, and negative views of Israel are increasing among the young and old in both political parties. Your "anti-Semitism" BS isn't cutting it anymore. People are waking up.

I didn’t realize Tucker Carlson read DCUM.

You are a PIS for spewing your vitriol for Jews in such a manor. Do you think you’re going to stop us from standing up for what’s right with your “Americans are turning on Israel” poll numbers? I bet you were one of the lovelies screaming for Garber’s head last week. Now he’s your savior?

Garber put out a statement last week that said antisemitism on campus is a serious problem. He himself as an observant Jew has been a victim multiple times. His statement this week was in support of the faculty and nothing more. They will settle with the Trump administration because they have no choice, losing their tax exempt status would be the end of them. And, people like you will once again call for his head.

Harvard won't pay a dime in taxes. Something like 20 % of their alums are attorneys. They will bring an avalanche of lawsuits pointing out that they can't be singled out like this, certainly not while Hillsdale and Liberty, with precisely zero ideological diversity, keep their tax exempt status. Courts will vontinue to rule against Trump.

Suppose they did manage to revoke Harvard's tax exempt status? Who is left at the IRS to collect the money? Trump can either have power, or he can keep firing people. He doesn't get to have both.

With 97% of faculty aligning with the left, Harvard is even more skewed than Liberty.

I have a kid considering attending this fall. I don’t want Harvard to fail. I want equal protections for Jewish students and more diversity of thought. Garber has done a much better job and we’d like to see it continue. This week will be telling, as will the atmosphere at Visitas.

Interesting, bc my harvard alum friends say the opposite, they have ceased donations and look elsewhere for hiring. But harvard has a global brand, deep pockets and a strong international donor base, so time will tell.

No Harvard has not stopped taking donations. Your post is gibberish.

This person said THEIR friends stopped donating. What’s so hard to believe about that? Ours have as well. The admin has made no secret about the fact that individual donations have tanked since Oct 7.

+1 Despite its many imperfections. If the alternative is UNC, anyway.

What equal protections do you think are lacking for your Jewish students?

And I ask that patiently because everyone else seems to know that what the administration is seeking is to silence criticism of Israel’s policies and actions, and to punish anyone who dares to speak out about it. Basically, far worse than China 1989 because the crackdown involves the policies snd actions of a foreign state that the rest of the world has already condemned repeatedly.

I went there and I'm making my first donation to the university. I actually don't consider myself to be liberal at all, but I believe in academic freedom.

That’s not the case. Students and faculty who harassed, intimidated and attacked Jewish students have yet to be held accountable. Courses on the “1000 year history of Palestine” with no account of the Jewish experience are taught by faculty who violated Harvard’s code of conduct, taking part in the encampments, preventing students from getting to class. Jew hating professors are promoted. Finally, Qatar has its tentacles all over Harvard and most institutions. Foreign funding is a serious issue and must be investigated.

Harvard has squashed any opportunity for debate on the issue by intimidating Jewish students into silence. Garber is making improvements but there is much more that needs to happen.
