Exactly

Professional lacrosse isn't a career.
No one is focused on professional lacrosse, true but that really has never been a factor in girls college lacrosse/recruiting. It is an opportunity some can pursue as a side hobby after college but for 99.9% not on the radar or a goal. Stats are huge part of college lacrosse - have you not been on a college team insta page or website? Get with the times! Rankings are all about the stats!

They have not seen anything on any team's IG. This is Capital and Capital parents we are talking about here, they're stuck in the early 2000s. They don't believe the power of social media is a thing, clearly by the lack of the clubs' presence...

I'm not aware of a single Capital parent who is pleased with the club's website or social media strategy. It is absolutely behind the times. Everyone is afraid to rock the boat, and those who have raised it apparently did not move the needle.

I'm a Capital parent and I don't care.

This thread is a new low for the DCUM Lacrosse board including the preposterous theories about why players play, and generalizations of all DC area lacrosse players and their families. If you were a college athlete or a parent of a college athlete, you should know better and not engage.

Furthermore, I have never had a conversation with another Capital parent about the website or social media strategy. Honestly, it has never come up.

. All we are talking about is college stats of former capital players —it’s all publicly available on any of the respective players D1 college lacrosse webpage. Capital Players play in college some more than others so the Capital basher can let that agenda go.

Also 2 more of the 2023 team made the Atlantic 10 all-rookie team as freshmen last year for their seasons.

My daughter made Capital and loves her team and Coaches! We also LOVE Healthy Baller! I do feel bad for the kids/parents that do not get to be part of such an amazing Club! Website updates and improvements would make it a phenomenal club for sure! No club is perfect. We love Capital! We love following all the older girls now at college and watching their games! Go Capital!!!

My daughter is from Howard County and plays for Heroes and didn't get the GPA or SAT scores of Capital Kids that go to top schools. Therefore I am going to trash on Capital Recruit play time.

Capital parent. Don’t care about the Web site or social media. Confidence whispers. Insecurity shouts.

My daughter is from Arlington County and plays for Capital and got the best GPA and SAT scores to all her top schools. Therefore I watch as she got $0 in scholarship money and sit on the bench for 4 years. Just to protect the Capital recruiting image.

Recapping D1 playing time for the Cap 2023s:

- Four on top 25 teams (UVA 2X, Harvard, Michigan) have played in all / nearly all games as sophomores, with two starting every game this year; two played in every game freshman year, with one starting in most (13/15)
- One at a top three team (Northwestern) has played in over 70 percent of games as a sophomore.
- One at Pitt has played in all 15 games as a sophomore with 8 starts.
- One at VCU played in all 18 games as a freshman (7 starts) and has started in 14 of 15 games as a sophomore.
- One at Colgate played in all 17 games as a freshman (16 starts), and started in all 13 games this year.
- One at St. Joe’s played in 11 games as a freshman and 10 games thus far as a sophomore
- One of the top 25 players made All-ACC as a freshman, another made All-Ivy as a freshman.
- Two made the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team as freshmen

Can we do a little comparison with M&D and Hero 2023 college players? Where is our resident statistician for the 2023s.
