| How many Capital players are professionals? Unless they go pro then what’s the point? The topic of this thread is idiocy. |
Not sure who compiled these stats, but Docking's stat sheet showed 1 GP last week, and I'm watching Penn v Yale. and she has played almost the whole game. Freshman. So, not sure these are accurate. |
Mind boggling that people care. Good experience yes but the rest. Who cares!!! Once you get into the school of your dreams your goal has been met! To the parents that do care I genuinely wonder why? Will it lead to something? For them? For you? Would you go to a lesser school just to show that you have more playing time? I’m pretty sure that the girls at Ivy‘s that are not playing would be getting great minutes at less desirable schools. |
She just scored. Looks like she's getting her first real action. If you think one cup of coffee in a blowout in Feb is wildly different than 0 games, just say that so we can measure your bias. |

Gotta love the troll that started this page. Why not go back to 2021 & 2022 and begin a true data set. Please include how many girls quit the sport all together. Then please do the same for M&D, Skywalkers, etc etc and compare the results in a true analytical fashion. I think you will find its all the same +/-
I will say this. In the DMV. Not Baltimore. Washington Capital area. There is no other club close to the success that Capital has. Their orange teams get recruited as well as most other clubs A teams. Take your axe to grind somewhere else. From top down the club is excellent and I think you will hear the same from the families. |

| Boom. Capital is to get the girls into a school they may not be able to get into with lacrosse. Very few of the girls probably even care about playing time in college as long as they enjoy being part of a team and getting an education. And that is the other thing great about Capital….academics comes first. |
Seems like an innocent question and relevant subject matter for DCUM lacrosse threads. |
I have a bias for accuracy. The PP and the person who started the thread (probably the same person) have a bias to try and prove that Capital players don't get playing time in college. Not only is that biased view false, it is not super relevant, as many other posters have pointed out. Further, using Freshman stats at all, especially inaccurately, was certainly a straw man. Top college players come from all over and aren't proven until they face the crucible of D1 lacrosse, especially at a top 25 program. If you want a shot at being one and you live in No. Virginia, DC, or MoCo, then you play for Capital (or make a long commute to Baltimore). Pretty straightforward, and has been for a while around here. |
what a joke. No offense, but JMU is not a powerhouse academic. More like a powerhouse underachiever school. Capital is a strong in this area, but weak against Philly and LI. Perspective, people. |
you are actually saying girls commit to D1 schools with the grind of D1 programs and are happy riding the bench? Laughable - they do it so mommy and daddy can brag to no-no thing friends. Playing builds character. Trying to fulfill daddy’s dream does not. |
+1 How many actually graduate with a degree? How many actually graduate from the school they started at? |
Long Island is where the best players come from. Capital doesn't compare period in any form. |
