Wow. That’s unnecessarily mean |
Similar to how "energy drinks" are marketed towards the same group. Just creating caffeine addicts through a sweet conduit rather than a bitter tasting one. |

You're not wrong but these things have their place. If OP is asking about protein bars, they aren't against the concept and these DO taste better than any other I have tried. My pickiest of picky kids will drink the strawberry one and it's amazing to know at least he's getting some protein without an enormous battle. -- NP |
This. They are 300 calories though, keep in mind |
Fairlife with the has aspartame and sucralose on it. Which is why it is low calorie. |
By “garbage ingredients” OP likely means palm oils and artificial sweeteners. So that eliminates most of the suggestions here. Rx bars and Perfect bars are the only ones that I can think of that meet this criteria |
A lot of bars hurt my stomach. I like the built puff bars and, as an alternative, chomp sticks. They have about 12 to 15 grams of protein. And are enjoyable to eat. Full of crap? Maybe. But I figure it’s better than eating a bag of chips. At least I get protein. |
Just looked up perfect bars. 330 calories for 15 grams of protein is not a great ratio. Also, a ton of added sugar. I forget where I saw it but I remember reading that to really be considered a proper protein bar it needs to have equal or less calories to protein when you add a zero to the calories. So for example 200 calories for 20 grams of protein would be right but 250 calories for 15 grams of protein is not great (should be 150 calories or less for the amount of protein). |
Wow a double whammy of toxins. No wonder the poster before you is "addicted", they are like drugs and really harmful. |
