Court says that USAID must be reinstated

FYI - that's not how this works. Congress can say Yea or Nay to this but the State Department cannot dismantle a congressionally created independent agency. Nor can DOGE. And while the Chuang PI is stayed, the lawsuits are ongoing.

But that requires a Congress that GAF and is interested in doing their job. We don’t have a functioning Congress. Haven’t for years.

I'm unclear on this, and it's probably buried in the various cases naming Musk as a defendant (quite a few of them). I had heard last week it was determined to be an agency subject to FOIA vs PRA. How that ties into Congressional oversight and confirmations I can't say I know anything about.

So, Congress doesn’t have to create the agencies via legislation? Seriously, that makes no sense

At least $500 billion in spending is on agencies that have not been authorized by Congress. They just budget the money every year, but never bother to reauthorize.

This Congress with more than half of spineless'?

I’ll give you that. Also, every state capital is gross too. Your state congressmen make up the entire legislative branch. So therefore, the states are full of slime-dwelling politicians too. All the lawyers come to DC!!! By your account, it’s been a swamp since George Washington.Literally and figuratively. Politics have always attracted ego maniacs who are gross

Not to worry. You now have two billionaires and a Hillbilly working for you. They will do what they have always done for you.

I am pretty sure they are trolling the Hillbilly in plan view.
