Not many - I would say it has less than many other schools in our experience. There are a few in each grade and they and their parents pretty much fit the exact same description that you hear about at other schools - same type. In fact the parents and families (boys too!) are usually friends with the same types of parents/families involved with poor behavior at the other schools. |
Many of the Chevy and CCC families that span across a few single sex schools…. fit this description - among both the parents and kids. Brutal relational bullying. |
| I think Mean girls are one thing but beware of Mean moms who make sure the mean girl behavior is multiplied by a 1000. Having said that it is very grade dependent |
| All schools, I mean all. |
You'd be hard pressed to find a mean girl at Madeira. |
I know one or two alums that fit that description perfectly. |
Answer is simple- the schools with the most mean moms. Kids learn from their parents and their values or lack there of. Schools with large clusters of CCC and Congo moms tend to have issues. |

You'd be hard pressed to find a mean girl at Madeira. Hard-pressed to find a mean girl at Madeira? There are mean girls at Madeira, just not as many as at some schools. Someone is obviously drinking the Madeira Kool-Aid and also smoking something while she drinks. |
I dunno, PP. My daughter, who is quite sensitive and has definitely seen mean girl behaviors at her K-8, says that she has absolutely not met any mean girls at Madeira. She is rather in awe of that, actually. |
From what I understand, there are some students who can be kinda annoying or snotty, but I haven't heard about any "mean girl" behavior. If it does happen it's not super common. |
| Where do the CCC and Congo moms cluster ? I’m not in the know. |
Agree. The 8th grade class at SR has a large number of girls whose families belong to Congo or Chevy. It seems the girls have learned their elitist/exclusive behavior from their moms. |
