I guess so, don't really do any individual stocks or options, derivatives, etc. This one looks interesting. https://www.defianceetfs.com/xmag/ |
The brand has been killed by Musk. But if you want to lose your shirt, sure. |
And crypto. |
$TSLA is a buy but it’s only because Elon has more money than God and he’s too big to fail. |
Tesla is a meme stock so it is going to go with the flow. At some point in the next few years it would trade in line with valuation which would put it at about $60-$80 per share.
Holding long term, they would fare just like AMC and GameStop holders fared - losing 70-80% of their value. But if want to have fun with some play money why not? |
Down another 10 percent since this thread started. And it is still massively overvalued… |
I wouldn’t buy. I think hate for him is just ramping up. |
Who is the market for Tesla cars?
Does anyone believe FSD is coming soon? The only argument for buying Tesla now is that you believe Elon Musk is some manic pixie elf who can magically produce new value but even if you think that you have to ask yourself if he’ll give those products to tesla or to one of his other companies. |
China sales plummeted 49%. Way more than expected. |
It's a mistake to conflate anti-musk sentiment (which has rubbed off on Tesla) with what you call TDS. The Na$i salute and all the follow on Na$i stuff didn't roll off him like it might Trump, and then combine that with the way he's treating federal workers (who are both democrats and republicans), everyone knows someone who has been directly or indirectly belittled, mistreated, or fired because of Musk. We were planning to buy a Tesla earlier this year but we've been persuaded not to, partly because this guy is just awful and it's not worth feeling like we're driving around in a vehicle that supports an individual who has intentionally wrecked so many lives. Part of the appeal of switching to an EV is to be a more responsible consumer, and there are plenty of alternatives that don't carry the stigma that now attaches. |
No, I think it's toast.
Most of my family are MAGA Republicans. They love Trump, but they are 50/50 on Musk. Many like all the fraud he's uncovering but don't like the way he's doing it with broad, sweeping layoffs that are hurting MAGA workers grouped in with "the wasteful dems." The other half hate him and want him as far away from Trump and the government as possible. But most importantly, none of them like EV. At all. Any brand. Musk could white brand Tesla as Trumpla and my relatives would still pass on a Trumpla EV. They are all about their trucks, and I cannot stress this enough, do NOT call it a cyber truck in their presence. They all call the cyber truck a "cyber mobile" or "cyber ship" b/c "that sumabish ain't a truck." Tesla's main consumer base was made up of liberals. He's alienated them and now he's seeing the consequences of that. MAGAs do not want electric vehicles. Period. |
Who in their right mind would buy one of those swasticars now? |
It's not just the cars, no one is going to trust any kind of self-driving car software developed by a psychopath. |
So glad we dumped all our TSLA in December. |
Go for it OP. Put it all on Tesla. |
