Except he's not going to control what art gets made by a long shot. Kennedy Center is one venue of many, and it already had the reputation of being very staid. Artists are going to do what artists are going to do...and they are going to do it another venue if the Kennedy Center doesn't like it. I say let Donald Trump run the place. Let him spend his days and nights trying to figure out the season line up and insist the NSO play only the works of John Philip Sousa and classical renditions of Kid Rock's Rock and Roll Jesus. Let him ponder ticket sale slumps. Let him redesign the gift shop. Let him do all of this, because it has nothing to do with going to war with China and firing his political adversaries or building condos in Gaza. It's the most harmless bone we can throw him.

Normal people don’t want anything to do with Trump, he’s toxic. The Kennedy center is going to have to be repurposed, or completely change to appeal to his voters. Maybe some wrestling events will help keep it going. The artists are going suffer with the rest of the area.

I think this is a calculated move. He knows that most of the DMV will stop attending shows there once he’s at the helm. After the center goes bankrupt, his government will sell it at a bargain basement price to Jared so it can be redeveloped as a casino or luxury resort on the Potomac river.
