I remember that the Secret Service asked him to stop the outdoor rallies and has a finite operating budget. You do you. |
these magas just conveniently forget facts. If these people are employed really not sure how they make it through their workday. |
Why not? He was receiving taxpayer security because some people are mad at him because of the pandemic (even on this thread), because of his job. Seems very reasonable that he would receive taxpayer security while receiving threats because of his job. It happens for other public employees, when they receive threats because of their jobs. |
Your memory is hazy. August 15 Wapo: “The U.S. Secret Service has approved a new plan for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to continue outdoor rallies in the wake of a July assassination attempt, the Washington Post reported on Thursday.“ |
We have gone over this already. Even former Vice Presidents don’t get lifetime security. |
Another post devoid of an actual point. Just name calling. So boring. |
Yes it sends a strong message to other who would think of working in government. |
Yeah, bullshit. You keep refusing to address the real reason Trump pulled security the day after he released his militia from prison. |
Yes. Trump just let all the violent criminals out of jail, ready to defend Trump's honor against Fauci, Pompeo and anyone else who dares criticize. |
You asked why I support the decision and I told you. |
News flash: Trump is suspending federal hires and looking to shrink the government payroll. |
+1 Combined with pardoning his goon squad who can all go buy guns now. |
Seems reasonable while he was working in his official role. But he stepped down in 2022. He isn’t owed lifetime government funded security. Seems reasonable for him pay for whatever security he feels necessary at this point |
oh the point was made, guess you missed it. |
The children of the sitting president get Secret Service protection even if they’re adults. Children of former presidents get it until they turn 16. Even when a president leaves office, there’s a grace period before his children lose their protection. It doesn’t end at noon on January 20th. |
